David Kinsley is the President of Kinsley Group and has worked in a full-time capacity with the company since 1994. Growing a respected business and providing high-value, quality products and services to the community inspires him at work. He is proud of the Kinsley culture, the company’s alignment with solving some of the country’s energy issues and working with some of the finest professionals in the industry. Mr. Kinsley enjoys family time, reading, travel, racquet sports, golf, skiing, hiking and mountain biking—just about any outdoor sport. He believes strongly in community service and currently chairs the board of Capitol Squash, a Hartford-based urban squash/education program, serves on the board of CT Next, a quasi-governmental organization that supports startups and entrepreneurs in Connecticut and is also on the board of Community Bots, providing training in STEM-robotics for middle school girls in underserved communities. David received his B.A. from Dartmouth College.
Chief Financial Officer, Kinsley Group
David McKee is the Chief Financial Officer for Kinsley Group. David is a Chartered Global Management Accountant with extensive experience as a strategic finance and technology executive in the insurance/reinsurance industries. He has held senior management roles in companies in London, Bermuda, and the U.S. David has an over 20-year track record of developing high-performing, quality-focused organizations through strong leadership, clear communications and strategic visioning. David serves on the Board of Trustees of First Choice Health Centers, providing affordable healthcare to low-income families in East Hartford and also at Family Promise, helping homeless families to remain intact and pursue a path to self-sufficiency. David enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor sports.
Vice President of Operations, Kinsley Group
Lloyd Vandenburg is the Vice President of Operations for Kinsley Group. Lloyd has more than 15 years of industrial construction and operations management experience in the public and private sector. As a seasoned operations leader, he maintains close relationships with Kinsley’s customers and business partners, and is consistently striving to achieve operational excellence to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our products and services. Lloyd studied Business Management at Plattsburgh State University and utilizes his extensive experience in Lean Management and Six Sigma methodologies to focus on the continuous improvement of the operations department at Kinsley. Lloyd enjoys spending time with his family, sports and working on classic cars.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Kinsley Group
Mark Varney is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Kinsley Group. Mark has more than 20 years’ experience and an associated comprehensive knowledge base in multiple industries including defense, medical device, manufacturing, construction and chemical processing. Mark has a proven track record for successful development of production and sales strategies and execution plans, driving positive returns on investment. Mark’s focus is on leveraging the strengths of the Kinsley Group to deliver best-in-class customer service. Mark received his B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Springfield College and studied Construction Project Management at Northeastern University. In his free time, Mark enjoys volunteering and coaching his children in local youth basketball and youth lacrosse leagues.
Director of Human Resources, Kinsley Group
Shari Blackman is Director of Human Resources for the Kinsley Group. Shari joined Kinsley after 14 years of progressive management and human resources experience in the entertainment and customer service industry. She prides herself in providing a professional, prompt and common sense approach to human resources and focuses on addressing challenges head-on. Shari received both her B.S. and M.S. from the University of Connecticut where she was an All American on the UConn softball team. Shari enjoys spending time with friends and family and is an avid sports fan.
Director of Sales, Kinsley Energy Systems
Brent Voelker is the Director of Kinsley Energy Systems, responsible for sales and service of combined heat and power (CHP) and distributed generation systems. Having started his career as a US Navy officer in submarines, Brent has accumulated 27 years’ experience in plant operations and control systems engineering in a wide range of industries, including nuclear power, conventional utility-scale power generation, distributed generation and aerospace. He holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics from RPI and an M.S. in Energy Policy from VA Tech. Newly empty-nested, Brent and his wife are avid readers, fitness enthusiasts and stand-up paddle boarders when they aren’t visiting their daughters at Davidson College.
